An A4 digital poster featuring a pregnant woman in the centre of a rainbow, with the affirmation 'I hold onto hope until I hold Baby'.
Sometimes it can feel scary to let ourselves get excited or to relax when we're afraid of things going wrong. When I was pregnant with my first I was so anxious about the risk of miscarriage, and I realised I was 'pre-grieving'.
As if grieving in advance would somehow make it better if I lost my baby, because I'd have been prepared. But of course it wouldn't. And I didn't want to live my life grieving everything that COULD go wrong in advance of it even happening. So I tried to let myself feel excited and hopeful.
I hope this affirmation will help remind people it is always safe to hold onto hope. Nothing bad can come out of hoping and keeping our heart open to love and good things.
Hoping for good things is important - it's not at all foolish or naïve. Tell the universe what you want. Feel grateful for what you have.
We might not understand why things are the way they are, and why things are so hard but we can try to practice acceptance, and feel safe to experience our journey with an open heart 🙏
We are guided by our loving universe, and we are supported by our loving earth.
