Whether you are having another baby and their older siblings want to learn about what's to come - or you have a home educated child who loves biology - you'll find plenty to explore their interest of pregnancy, physiological birth and life after birth in this kid's activity, colouring and learning pack.
I believe it’s important to offer positive and empowering information to young people about growing and birthing babies; so I’ve designed this pack for children (and their grown ups!) to enjoy learning together - with child-friendly, non-clinical language and colourful illustrations.

This 30-page kid's book and activities pack take you on a journey through conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I have made this pack about straightforward physiological birth on the understanding that sometimes there are special circumstances and things don't always go to plan, but I still believe there is immense value in introducing young people to pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding in an optimistic, non-clinical way. I don't think we need to be teaching young children about the (often harsh) realities of the maternity system and how (often unnecessarily) over-medicalised birth has become in our culture.
My traumatic emergency birth ending in a NICU stay didn't dent my belief in my body and mother nature. I want all children to know that their bodies are amazing, and infinitely capable - and to go into birth believing it is safe. My intention is not to invalidate or judge the experience of those for whom the journey does not follow this path.
★★★★★ "I've bought it to share with my son, who is seven and is going to become an older brother for the first time next April. Growing this baby and welcoming them into the world is something I'd like to do as a family and I know this is going to help in a big way. We home ed and it feels important that he has a clear understanding of what's happening at each stage, such a great opportunity to learn about one of the most magical and vital things, ever! (I share your frustration with the skimming over of details about birth in the majority children's books)." - Josephine
★★★★★ "I ordered the new Children's Pregnancy pack and it is just brilliant! Beautifully packaged and thought through, the resources fill such a gap in providing clear, positive, and medically accurate pregnancy and birth information for children. As someone who experienced antenatal depression as I was so scared about childbirth, having seen such terrifying and negative portrayals of it, this is just awesome! Let's get sharing with the little ones in our lives to balance out the pregnancy and childbirth negativity that can be so prevalent!" - Esther Abrey
"This is a wonderful packet! Educational and interactive. Perfect for anyone wanting to learn more and/or teach their children about pregnancy and female anatomy in general. Very pretty." - Etsy buyer
